Gauges Don't Match the Exact Data Value

Postby RaceRender LLC » Tue Oct 22, 2013 5:39 pm

Occasionally, some users will notice that Gauge display objects don't always match the exact data value for the given sample time, which can be displayed by a Text Data display object. This situation is almost always intentional, due to two factors:

1) Data values are rounded to the nearest whole integer (ie 159.716 becomes 160) unless "Decimal" mode is in use, in which case it is rounded to the nearest hundredth (ie 159.716 becomes 159.72).
2) The "Smooth Needle Movement" option is enabled by default in many cases, and it filters the data somewhat in order to produce smoother gauge movements.

Both options can be changed by using the Gauge Designer in RaceRender Ultimate Edition.
